Coaching Overview
Life is about performance.
The better one’s performance, the better one’s success. We cannot control others, but we can control what we do. Our facilitators and coaches create a safe thinking environment to make sure that our clients become aware of their blind-spots and make them take ownership to achieve their goals and aspirations.
In a relationship where the focus is 100% on the client, a coach is there to guide and inspire them to achieve a clearer understanding of their aspirations, goals and purpose. A personal coach is someone who not only listens to their client’s words, but also to what’s behind them and truly hears what they are saying.
A personal coach commits their integrity to their client and will deepen their awareness while building self-reliance, self-belief and confidence, and self-responsibility. Through their sessions together, they will make them responsible and accountable so that they can reach their aspirations and goals.
Coaching is not therapy. It is a proactive intervention and we specialize in improving people’s performance in the following areas of personal development:
- Executive and Business Coaching – proactively focusing on our clients and their performance related to their business goals and objectives
- Performance Coaching – working objectively on enhancing our clients’ performance in the areas of sport, entertainment, academics and the arts
- Team Coaching – working closely with directors / managers / coaches and their teams to objectively identify areas of strength, weakness and improvement, and to empower the culture in the team for an increase in performance
- Life Coaching – proactively focusing on people’s work/life or life/life balance to achieve fulfillment

One of the key components for a successful business is to align the behaviors of the staff in a consistent and collective manner with the goals and strategy of the business.
Each organization is unique. Our clients and us must therefore understand the key derailleurs and enablers that will drive success at the business. Thus, IBC’s first phase is a complete contract. There are no strings attached and no obligation to continue working with us thereafter. Our primary aim is to provide you with a dashboard of key enablers and derailleurs for you and your management.
Once our clients review the dashboard, we make some suggestions on how to proceed within the organization and this usually entails business coaching.
Our business coaching program enables effective, sustainable success. Therefore, by using the findings and our dashboard we work with our clients to define the coaching objectives for a sustainable business coaching program within the business or organization.

How can we know the answer if we don’t ask the question?
People learn far better if they experience the learning for themselves rather than being shown what they are expected to know. So why do team leaders and coaches scream and shout at their teams? Performance only increases temporarily through fear – but sustainable overall performance increases through experiential learning.
A team culture exists because of the attitude, trust and respect towards each other and an attitude towards the discipline. The culture can either be positive or negative and the team leader / coach is often the foundation for the established culture. Through our frameworks, IBC coachs’ work with teams and the team leaders to establish the current culture and the derailers that are holding back performance. Through this understanding, we find out the enablers needed for higher performance and put together a plan and strategy for the team to succeed. While executing the plan, we support your team through team and personal performance coaching; we set goals together and we take action to achieve your vision.

Through your coach’s authenticity, presence, true listening and incisive questions, your mind can ignite with tremendous possibilities.
Our coaches have years of experience in helping clients achieve their desired self and offer a support unlike any other you may have experienced. They will focus solely on your situation, giving you full attention and commitment. They will clarify your goals and aspirations while extracting the motivations behind them, so you can rise to the challenge of reaching your desired way of being.
IBC Life Coaching follows a carefully planned structure of sessions. The last session is a final review where you and your coach will look at how far you have come and will develop a plan for you to take away so that the positive benefits will carry on long after the coaching ends. We can also provide coaching top-ups for longer term goals if needed.
Our primary commitment is to understand you and your needs, to support and empower you to achieve your desired self.
HOW WE WORK
Once your needs and preferences for a coach have been established:
- We will match you up with some of our coaches and send you their profiles
- You will then choose those you would like to meet
- We will arrange a chemistry session with the coaches
- After the meeting, you will let us know which coach you connected with best
- You will then commence your coaching journey together
